Scheduling Console: Vertical Swimlanes – Addition of Resource and Multi-Region Filters (NUC-1712 and 1806) |
Adding to the impressive set of features already available in the New Web App scheduling console, in this release we are aiming to improve the vertical swimlanes by adding a couple of filters:
|
Create Job Modal: Show Custom Fields Based On Admin Setting "Show If" (NUC-1619) |
Up to now in our New Web App (if the admin settings permitted), custom fields were only visible in the job details view once a job had been created. With this enhancement, admins can now configure their custom fields to display when schedulers create a job. The rules governing when these supplemental fields are displayed are defined in the admin settings. OK, where do I go to define rules for my custom fields? Go to Settings, Custom Fields. To trigger the visibility of a custom field when the job is created, define the associated "Show if" rules. Can you provide an example? Sure. In the following example, I have created a custom field named "Cause of Problem" which my organization wants to add to all new "Break Fix" jobs. In my admin settings for custom fields, I have added a "Show if" rule to expose this one field (Cause of Problem) when "Break Fix" is selected as a job type in the "Create Job" modal. Now, if a scheduler looks in the field tab of the modal when they create a new "Break Fix" job, they will see the custom field. They can add some text if required and depending on the options set, Skedulo X mobile app users can view and possibly edit this data as well. Note:

Admin Settings: Job Template Includes "Show if" Option (NUC-1733) |
Along with the above additions of the "Show if" option to the "Create Job" modal in the New Web App, we have also added the same options to job templates. Where do I find these new "Show if" options? The job templates are located in the admin settings, in the section marked "Job Templates." A new tab named "Field" has been added, it includes any custom fields that satisfy the associated "Show if" rules. Read more about "Show if" rules in the feature above. |
Recurring Schedules: Assign Team Leader (NUC-1716) |
There is a small yet useful addition to the recurring schedules feature in our New Web App. When an allocated resource (who is part of a recurring schedule) is assigned as "Team Leader" in one of the jobs, a pop-up asks whether you want to replicate the change across all subsequent jobs in the schedule (or series). The message reads "This job (JOB-.....) is part of recurring schedule RS-..... Would you like to apply these changes to all following jobs in the series?" |
Scheduling Console: When Job Card is Locked, Prevent Dragging to Swimlanes or in Swimlanes (NUC-1185) |
Time to rejoice! Locked finally means locked. In the New Web App, job cards (on the job list) that are locked using the small padlock icon can no longer be dragged into the swimlanes. Locked job cards already placed in the swimlanes cannot be dragged around the swimlanes either. This feature extends to the job details view as well. In the following example:

Scheduling Console: Do Not Show Allocations on the Scheduling Console Swimlanes if Jobs are Canceled or Declined (NUC-1765) |
Last but not least, for our New Web App, jobs that have been canceled or declined are now automatically removed from their allocated swimlanes, 3 seconds after they are canceled. This change includes:
