The Skedulo mobile app is supported by a wide range of iOS (Apple) and Android devices (phones, tablets, etc.) Most devices less than two years old should work well. However, it is not currently supported on Windows devices.
Skedulo is supported on the following operating systems:
- iOS version 9.3 (and above).
- Android version 5.0 (and above).
We highly recommend using the latest iOS and Android versions and staying up-to-date with version updates.
From September 2018 Skedulo's minimum supported version of Android will be increased to v5.0. Users still on Android 4.4 at that time will no longer be able to install the updates made to Skedulo. To be able to continue using the Skedulo mobile app; you will need to update Android to v5.0 or upgrade to a device that is supported.
Mobile Device Browser Compatibility
For Android devices, we recommend installing the Google Chrome web browser and stay up to date with the latest version.
For IOS devices, Safari will do just fine. However, we recommend staying up-to-date with the latest IOS version.
Minimum Supported Version of the Skedulo Mobile App
When the mobile app links to the Skedulo platform, a version check is made. If the Skedulo app is an earlier release (or version) than the "latest" available in the app stores (that is normally one major release behind the current release), Skedulo will display a message saying "Good news, an update is available! We’ve made some improvements and to benefit from them you need to update to the latest version." The user can then select "Update now" or update "Later."

If, however, the Skedulo app is an earlier release (or version) than the minimum supported (as determined by Skedulo), the mobile app will display a message saying "App version expired, please update! This version of Skedulo is out of date, and you must update to the latest version to continue." The mobile user is forced to update the app by tapping on the "Update now" button (providing, of course, the mobile user wants to continue using it).

Points to Note
- Android users should also ensure their Google Play Services are kept up to date.
- The mobile device's native browser is not required.
- The Android WebView app may be required on older devices (see note below).
About the Android WebView app:
Information current as at 15 September 2017
If you are using an older Android device (Android version 6 and below), it may require the Android WebView app to be installed. If it is installed, it should be kept up to date.
If the Android WebView app is disabled, it means you are using a recent version of Android (Google disabled it in the more recent versions of Android). As of September 15th, 2017, it is currently at 58.0.3029.125.
If you delete the WebView app from an older device, it will uninstall all updates and use the old version of the WebView app, which is incorrect. Please keep it installed and up to date on your older devices.
Going forward, if you get a new device with Android version 7 or above, you should not need to update the Android WebView app. Just ensure that you keep all your apps such as Google Chrome up to date.
Customers using WebView cannot use Google for SSO, so if you need to use it, you will need to install Chrome.
