What's New?
Description |
---|
We're in the process of transforming the way resources are allocated in Skedulo. With this release, you can specify how many resources are needed for a particular job (i.e., set a quantity), plus you can set the skills required—all prior to their allocation. So what has changed? In the Job Details view, the "Allocated Resources" panel has been updated. It has a new "Quantity" field combined with a "Skills" picker (i.e., skill tags or attributes). So, your allocated resources are now grouped with the quantity and skill information in one spot. If a job needs some resources (to meet the quantity that has been specified), then you will see one or more buttons named "Allocate a resource"—you simply click a button to select a resource. There are also exception alerts that can be displayed if a previously assigned resource does not match the required skill tags. Our new design also includes changes to the way skills (or attributes) are assigned to jobs when they are first created—using the "Create Job" modal. In this modal, the "Attributes" tab has been replaced with a "Requirements" tab. It's here that you can define the skills that are required for the job and select their "weighting" (or priority). You can also set the number of resources needed for the job—all in advance. Note: The "Quantity" field can also be replicated across jobs in a recurring schedule. The job skills cannot be replicated when updating an existing recurring schedule but are replicated when the recurring schedule is first created. Refer to Job Details. |
Job completion notes can now be viewed in the Job Details view (they will appear under "Notes" located in the right tabbed panel). Refer to Job Details. |
In Job Details view, we've moved the "Select Resources" button to the top of the "Allocated Resources" panel. The "Unschedule" option has been moved to the "more options menu" and has been renamed "Unschedule and deallocate." Refer to Deallocate and Unschedule. |
When creating a new activity, "Address" is no longer a required field. Refer to Create Activity. |
When creating new jobs, "Account" is no longer a required field. Refer to Create Job. |
In the recurring schedules console, the job list now shows the lock icon for each job. Refer to Recurring Schedules. |
In the admin settings for notifications, the "Preview with real data" button has been replaced with a search box. To preview custom notifications with real data, users just need to select a job from within that search box. Refer to Admin Settings: Notifications. |
When creating a new job, the map in the "Create Job" modal now defaults to the scheduler's browser location. If the browser location is unavailable (for any reason), it will default the map to a San Francisco location. |
The "Suggest" button above the scheduling console's horizontal swimlanes has been moved to the individual job cards. You now trigger suggestions by clicking on the "light bulb" icon on the job card. You'll be pleased to hear that Suggest is now also available on the vertical swimlanes as well. Refer to Vertical Swimlanes. |
The Shifts console has been updated to include a "Location" filter, in the filter bar. |
A new 'Working Hours' option has been added to the "Resources" console. This option allows you to specify the method to be used to determine a resource's availability (when shifts are in use). Note: Access to this feature requires "Shifts" to be enabled for your organization and requires the Skedulo Package v102.34. Contact your Skedulo Customer Success Manager for more details. Refer to Shifts and Working Hours. |
