A resources general availability is defined in Skedulo using a standard "availability template" (a rolling period of standard availability, e.g., Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) for their home region.
Note: The following information is supplemental to the article entitled "Availability Console."
The "Temporary Assignments" (or "Temporary Regions") feature is currently only available on Skedulo's Independent Platform. Contact your Skedulo Customer Success Manager if you require more details on how to activate this feature.
Temporary Assignments on the Availability Calendar
To allow flexibility, resources can be temporarily assigned to other regions (outside of the home region) for a set period.
These temporary assignments (or periods "Out Of Region") are represented by gray time blocks in the availability console calendar. A small aircraft icon is added to distinguish them from other time blocks in the calendar.
Click on a temporary assignment to reveal a summary of its details. Clicking "View details" on the summary opens the resource's profile, where the temporary assignment is defined.
In the example below, Dexter is working outside of his home region from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
