Job Page Header
The job page header provides a summary of information about the job, its scheduled time, status, and resource allocation.
The job title is populated from the job description (when populated with text it will display the first 34 characters when fully scaled). If there is no description, the job number is displayed by default.
You can edit the scheduled time and date by hovering over the field and clicking the edit icon.
If a job has time constraints configured, an icon () is displayed to the left of the scheduled time information.
Time constraints
If you schedule the job at a time that violates the time constraint, the icon will display as red.
The details tab is the default page.
You can hold the pointer over the text and click the edit icon to edit any of the fields.
The details tab displays additional information, such as promoted fields or if the job is recurring.
Time constraint information is displayed on the Details panel.
Add a new time constraint by clicking + Add constraint.
To edit an existing constraint, hold the pointer over the constraint information and click the edit icon.

The Schedule tab gives schedulers the ability to manage resources.
This page presents real data for a day or a week. The schedule page is similar to the schedule page in the Resources page.
Note
A job that follows a job with no address (i.e., the next job) will have no estimated travel time as it is assumed that the resource will be coming from their previous job (there is no address so the estimated travel time cannot be calculated).
If you only want to display certain working hours in the timeline and hide those hours and days where you do not have any work to schedule (like weekends for instance), you can configure the swimlane settings to "Only show working hours" (configure this via the more options menu (3-dots icon) at the top right of the calendar).
Also, see
Schedulers can apply multiple filters to the swimlane.
- Click +Add filter.
- Select the filter you want to apply from the drop-down list.
- Choose the filter options you want to apply from the picklist.
- Click Apply.
The filter bar updates with the new filter and the filtered results are shown in the swimlane.
Filter types available:
-
Region. You can select multiple regions to be displayed in the swimlane.
-
Resource Category. You can select multiple resource categories from the picklist.
-
Resource Type. Defaults to Person, with the ability to choose other options in the picklist.
-
Tags (option available when requirements have been set). Hidden by default.
Click the Tasks tab on the job details page to open the tasks page and add one or more tasks to the job.
-
Click the Add a task button.
-
Provide a task name and optionally, a task description.
-
Click Save to create the task and add it to the job.
If the job is part of a recurring schedule, you can select the tasks in the task list that you want to copy over to future jobs.
To copy tasks across multiple jobs in a series, select the tasks you want to copy, then click the Copy tasks button.
The following pop-up confirms what will happen by copying the tasks.
Click Copy tasks to proceed or Cancel to stop copying the tasks.
Click the Notes tab to display job notes or add new notes to the job.
- To add a note, hold the pointer over the Add note field and click the edit icon.
- Type the notes into the textbox provided.
- Click Save to save the note to the job, or click Cancel.
The process to create a new note is as follows:
-
Roll-over and click the "Add note" button to open the notes field.
-
Type text into the empty notes field.
-
Click the "Save" button.
All job completion notes that are made by a resource (using the Skedulo mobile app) are synchronized and made visible just below the notes section. Note, this section will only appear if a completion note has been submitted from the mobile app.
Tip
Both the Notes and Completion notes fields can take up to 32768 text characters.
You can add attachments to a job using the attachments page.
To add attachments, drag-and-drop, or click to open the file browser to locate and attach files.

The fields page displays any custom fields that have been configured for the job object.

As a resource completes a workflow action (e.g., accepts the job, checks-in, or completes the assignment) their times are dynamically recorded on the Actual Times page. Travel time and job duration are also recorded here.
If the job has multiple resources allocated, the drop-down Resource field allows the scheduler to open the details of any assigned individual (this applies to team leaders as well who are appropriately marked).
Note
If resources are permitted (via the admin settings) to "manage the times" of the job from their Skedulo mobile app, any changes made will be instantly reflected here.
The job attendees list enables a scheduler to create a single job allowing their resource(s) to service multiple customers (contacts), over multiple accounts—at the same time, i.e., A group event.
First, enable the Attendees feature via the Actions button.
When enabled, you can select the Attendees page and add contacts.
-
Select the "Attendees" tab.
-
In the field "Search for contact" enter the contacts that are required to attend.
-
Click the "Add" button.
-
Contacts are added to the attendee list and are selectable if their details need to be viewed.
Contacts can be removed from the list by clicking on the small "x" button to the far right of their name.
Note
If the job is locked, attendees cannot be removed from the list.
The resources page is where the resource requirements are set for the job. Here, resources, assets, and skill requirements (or tags) can be configured. Team leads can also be assigned here.
Also, see
Resource Requirements and Allocating Jobs (Swimlane).
The team leader feature allows one of your allocated resources to process jobs (from their mobile device) on behalf of all of the other allocated resources. This relieves the other resources from the responsibility of updating the job status, allowing them to concentrate on other tasks.
At the top of the resources panel, you will find a "Team leader" drop-down list. The drop-down list is populated with the names allocated to the job. Only one of these allocated resources can be set as the team leader for the selected job.
When a team leader is selected, a "TL" label appears next to their name. To reset (remove) this nomination, select "None" from the list.
Now, when the team leader changes the job status on their mobile device (to "In Progress" or "Complete"), the job status is updated for all the other allocated resources too.
The "Dispatch all" button will notify all allocated resources of the new job.
The options available via the actions button are:
-
Perform a lock on all job fields.
-
Create a recurring schedule using this job's details.
-
Enable the job's attendee list.
-
Unschedule and deallocate resources from the job.
-
Manually complete the job.
-
Trigger a change of job status to "Cancelled."
-
Restore a canceled job (not available if "Resource Requirements" are enabled).
-
Open the related job object in Salesforce CRM.
Some features in Skedulo (configurable in the admin settings) require a resource to provide a reason for an action. For example, why did a resource decline a job allocation?
Job-related messages (reasons) can be viewed in the job's details via the "Allocated Resources" panel.
The Skedulo mobile app features that use this option are "Decline Job" and "Cancel Job."
