The global search bar enables a scheduler to quickly perform a global search for jobs or resources.
It can be found in the top right corner of any console, denoted by a magnifying glass icon and placeholder text entitled "Search for jobs or resources."
To use the global search bar first focus on the search field by clicking on it (the cursor will start blinking to indicate that it's in use). Begin typing, and the search bar will automatically start looking for items that match the keyword(s).
The global search bar will search for both resources and jobs at the same time and is capable of showing both at the same time. If this is the case, they will be split by a header which indicates the type of object being shown beneath it.
The global search bar uses job names and job descriptions when it tries to find jobs.
Jobs that are found will be shown under the "Jobs" header in the search results (keywords are highlighted in bold font). The search bar can return twenty jobs at a time and will display in descending order by name.
The global search bar uses resource names (first and last name) when it tries to find resources (keywords are highlighted in bold font). Resources that are found will be shown under the "Resources" header in the search results.
In a similar fashion to jobs, the search bar can return twenty resources at a time and will display them in ascending alphabetical order.
Note
Resources include both assets and people.
