The iCalendar functionality allows a resource to view their jobs in a calendar application that supports iCal–Gmail for example. Once set up, any job allocated to the resource will populate the calendar application.
To obtain the iCalendar link perform the following steps:
Using the Skedulo mobile app, open the more options menu (via the nav bar button at the bottom-right).
Go to "Settings" and tap on the "iCalendar link" to copy it to the mobile's clipboard. This will be used later in the set-up process.
The following procedures describe the best way to add the Skedulo calendar feed to a 3rd party calendar app (such as Google Calendar or Apple's IOS Calendar).
On the Skedulo mobile app, open the main menu (via the hamburger menu button).
Go to "Settings" and tap on the "iCalendar link" to copy it to the clipboard (this is to be used with "Add Subscribed Calendar" in step 5 below).
Using a web browser, launch and log into your Google Calendar account.
Open your Google Calendar "Settings."
Expand "Add calendar" to reveal "From URL" (in the left-hand column)
Select "From URL."
Enter (or paste) the copied Skedulo "iCalendar link" into the blank field named "URL of calendar."
Click "Add Calendar." Once saved, the new linked calendar will appear in the left-hand column under "Other calendars."
Launch your Google Calendar mobile app. The same additional calendar link should now be available to view (once synchronized).
On the Skedulo mobile app, open the main menu (via the hamburger menu button).
Go to "Settings" and tap on the "iCalendar link" to copy it to the clipboard (this is to be used with "Add Subscribed Calendar" in step 6 below).
Go to your mobile's settings and locate the default calendar app–tap on "Calendar."
Tap on "Accounts."
Tap on "Add Account."
Tap on "Other."
Tap on "Add Subscribed Calendar."
Enter or copy in the server location of the calendar (i.e., paste in the URL copied previously).
Tap "Next" (the link will be verified).
Tap "Save."

Saving the new Skedulo calendar link in the default IOS calendar settings. Configured to refresh the data every 15 minutes.
Tip
For IOS11 (or greater) adding a calendar is slightly different:
On the Skedulo mobile app, open the main menu (via the hamburger menu button).
Go to "Settings" and tap on the "iCalendar link" to copy it to the clipboard (this is to be used with "Add Subscribed Calendar" in step 6 above).
Go to your mobile's settings and locate and tap on "Passwords and Accounts."
Tap on "Add Account."
Go back to step 4 in the previous flow for IOS10 (figure 5) and complete the remaining steps.
On the Skedulo mobile app, open the main menu (via the hamburger menu button).
Go to "Settings" and tap on the "iCalendar link" to copy it to the clipboard (this is to be used with "Link to the calendar" in step 3 below).
Using "Outlook.com," open the Outlook calendar and perform the following:
In the left column, click "Discover calendars."
In the dialog click on "From web."
Paste in the URL into the field named "Link to the calendar."
Give the new calendar a name.
Click "Import."
The default IOS calendar can be configured to fetch or refresh data every 15, 30, or 60 minutes–or it can be manually updated (by closing and reopening the calendar app). To configure the refresh period locate "Fetch New Data" in "Accounts" the settings for your IOS calendar.
Note
At the time of writing, 3rd-Party calendar data is only refreshed about once a day in Google Calendar. For Outlook, it can take 3 hours or so. If you are after real-time updates, these may not be your best options.
